Our season is ending next week

The end of our season is looming so the last day for internet orders is Thursday, August 27, and the last day for the stall will be Friday, September 4.

Thank you all for your custom this season- it has definitely been a roller coaster.
We aim to reopen the stall around the beginning of  February with all the fresh new produce for the season.

From the team at Wilson’s Vege’s

Just a note if you don’t understand why we close: We are a seasonal growing business in Southland. The paddock comes to an end and what is left behind begins to re-grow once spring kicks in.

The weather and paddock conditions through winter don’t allow us to work the soil, and nothing germinates or grows in low temperatures. We don’t have tunnel houses to grow the quantity that is required and we’re not into using mega amounts of plastic to grow under.

We are also a small family team so our focus during the off-season is the planting and growing of the new season’s produce — and giving our staff a well-earned break.

We do look forward to starting up again in early February with lovely fresh produce again!

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on how your new veges are progressing for the season!
